It's All About the Written Word

​Black Pawn Press is open to whatever genre you're writing in as long as it meets a few guidelines. Yes, we're open to allowing people to share their stories, there's just a few items that we're not going to accept, condone, or allow under our imprint. We have a simple method for determining what's acceptable. If what you're giving us isn't something that you're 100% comfortable with allowing your mother, grandmother, or children to read, it doesn't belong in print. We have no intention of discriminating against anyone or their lifestyle, but for the sake of being a little more specific, we draw the line here:

• Manuscripts or screenplays that promote hate
• Manuscripts or screenplays that are used to target people of specific race, creed, color, or religious beliefs
• Manuscripts or screenplays that are geared towards inciting violence against anyone
• Nothing with overly gratuitous sex or violence (erotica is fine, within reason)
• Due to the constraints of the printing company, heavily graphic driven items such as anime or coloring books cannot be supported at this time

Other Services Offered
In addition to offering publishing contracts to authors and setting up distribution for the titles, Black Pawn Press also offers ghostwriting services for those authors who have stories to tell but haven't figured out how to put those stories down on paper.

We have the ability to take a novel and adapt it to a screenplay, or we can take the screenplay and adapt it to a novel.

We're affiliated with a PR firm that can offer affordable publicity plans based on your book's genre and needs.

We're affiliated with a literary management firm that may take your manuscript or screenplay and represent your project for potential film and/or television production.
